No More Theology

I have shut the door on further discussions of Theology.

Theology, you will recall, means “Words About God”. Unfortunately, as I mentioned an issue or two ago, all words about God are either about personal experience (which is not knowlege, that is, not communicable except by words), or opinions (which aren’t knowledge either).

Personal experience may be convincing to the person having that experience, but it can’t be given to anyone else to experience. Nor can it be verified as proving anything other than the experiencer had an experience.

In other words, L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise will avoid further opinions that can’t be tested, verified, or falsified about God (whatever that word means).

Concluding bibliography for more information on this topic:
How to Think About God: A Guide for the 20th-Century Pagan, by Mortimer J. Adler,
The Conditions of Philosophy: Its Checkered Past, Its Present Disorder, and Its Future Promise, by Mortimer J. Adler,
How to Think Clearly, by Paul Rosenberg,
Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters by Steven Pinker,
Rationality: From AI to Zombies by Eliezer Yudkowsky,
Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, by Eliezer Yudkowsky [GoTo Website] (This book is an entertaining novelization of teaching/learning rationality in the Harry Potter universe. The author writes: “I ask the fundamental question of rationality: Why do you believe what you believe? What do you think you know and how do you think you know it?”

We will continue to publish people’s opinions, on the grounds that they, being rational, have good, rational, reasons for those opinions, or else they clearly state “This is my opinion, I could be wrong.”

Biden is turning the USA into the Soviet Union

The Great Baby Formula Shortage of 2022.

My heart has been hardened toward those foolish enough to vote for him and his partyand his destructive policies. They won’t appreciate the benefit they will have if the opposition wins and their fortunes improve from the result of the boot heel of the Green New Deal being lifted and don’t deserve it but it’s a small price to pay for getting it off our necks.

2 observations

Let us be realistic, Donald Trump lost the 2020 Election over his perceived failure to deal with the Covid 19 pandemic. That is, he failed to get a majority too large for efforts to cheat to work over how the press portrayed how the Covid pandemic was spreading and killing people in the US.

Joe Biden and his Democratic buddies are currently facing problems with inflation that may trigger a stagflationary recession, gasoline prices, formula shortage, dissatisfaction of how we withdrew from Afghanistan, and possibly a Covid resurgence.

If the Democrats can control these things the issue deciding the election will be abortion rights, and the Democrats win. If they can’t they are doomed. If they can’t control their crises, the issue will be gun control with the Democratic leadership making it appear that supporters of gun rights are racist monsters and the Democrats lose.

Speaking of abortion rights, Pelosi’s Archbishop has ordered she be denied the Eucharist over her support of abortion rights. The Archbishop is right in the sense that she is using her power to promote what the Catholic Church considers a mortal sin. She is right in the sense that under the 9th Amendment a woman’s right to control her body includes not being a human incubator before the end of the 20th week of pregnancy if she doesn’t want to be. As Speaker of the House and a leader in the Democratic Party it is her duty to do so.

Ms. Pelosi had to choose between her duty as a political leader and her duty as a Catholic. People may claim that the Church had no right to demand that she make a choice. Here’s the thing, she need not fear being thrown in jail for rejecting the Church’s doctrine. The Archbishop need not fear being thrown in jail for crossing powerful politicians.

And this is true freedom of religion.

Another Letter from Jeff Fullerton

Biden’s Inflation Is Increasing Economic Inequality
“under trump, median household income increased by more than $6,000. in fact, before the pandemic, the american economy was firing on all cylinders. inflation was low, employment was high, and the groups at the bottom of the economic ladder were making more gains than they had in decades”.

And yet the Leftists were unhappy because they were out of power and unable to transform the nation to suit their own aims. Sweet irony is now they are still miserable because half the country refuses to go along with their rule. That’s the consequence when your happiness in life requires the conformity and sacrifice of unwilling others.

Hell on Earth for those who live for the sake of controlling others is defeat in an electoral bloodbath that results in an administration dedicated to promoting unfettered private enterprise. And they so richly deserve to be upended the way they are currently upending the lives of millions of Americans struggling to keep up with insane energy policies and the cruelest tax of all—inflation.
