The Liberty Round Table annual essay contest is an effort to
inform and empower young people regarding rights theory and the
freedom philosophy. Thanks to the internet, LRT essay contests are
open to young people around the world and are part of the LRT's "Green
Ribbon Campaign" for individual freedom.
Just as web-masters of sites that oppose censorship on the
internet have placed blue ribbons on their web-pages, the Liberty
Round Table is urging people everywhere to place a green ribbon on
their web-pages, signifying opposition to the trampling of individual
rights and freedoms, such as those recognized by the U.S. Bill of
Rights.
