L. Neil Smith's THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE Number 303, January 23, 2005 "I am very serious about this offer." Call for Papers
Exclusive to TLE As you may have noticed in Issue #300 http://www.ncc-1776.org/tle2004/tle300-20041212-02.html, El Neilyo has asked me to take up a couple of new cudgels in the New Year. As a long-time cudgel-wielder (doesn't that term just roll from the tongue?), I learned early on that there's strength in numbers ... not to mention sanity in a distributed workload. To make a long plea mercifully short, here's the nut: if you have a first-hand account of travel travails in which TSA played a major role, please contact me and share the details. Either write an account yourself, or I'll gladly assist however I can in putting together an article detailing your experience. Note that I said "first-hand". This does not prevent you from telling me about someone you know who had an "experience", but I'd prefer that you gave me their name and contact information and let me solicit their input. (Or put them in touch with me, whichever way floats their boat.) Put straightforward, I can't use a second-hand or hearsay account. If we're going to stitch together a Tyranny Quilt of TSA stories, we're going to need a lot of help, and I'm counting on our hard-core readers to clue us in. In return, if you contribute I'll promise you an acknowledgment in any forthcoming book that we may actually cobble together. Thanks in advance for your assistance; remember, there's no "i" in teambut there is "meat". - - - While we're on the subject, if you have a "date of libertarian significance" of which you're particularly fond, feel free to shoot that along for consideration as well. Grant me the ability to ferret out the easy ones ... it's the arcane stuff I'm looking for here from you, loyal and gentle reader. Please provide a suitable level of detail, or links to information. Here's the sole guideline: we commemorate the good things that happen to friends of liberty and the bad things that happen to her enemies. Simple, né? - - - Thanks again and Happy New Year 02/09/2005: Year of the Rooster. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
