Pat Answers
by L. Neil Smith
I can't think of a single dictator who came to power
in modern times during a period of relative prosperity. Just consider
Napoleon, Mussolini, Lenin, Hitler and Mao. All of themincluding
Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his fascistic New Dealrose at a moment
when their respective countries were on their economic knees and sunk in
despair.

Ron Paul Won Louisiana Caucuses
Lousiana GOP Lies and Steals the Win
by Jim Davidson
The story continues in this corrupt state of parishes,
poor drainage, and careless politicians. Three complaints have been filed
by the Ron Paul campaign with the Louisiana Republican party (LA GOP).
These three complaints might change the official outcome of the caucuses
in time for the state convention on 16 February, or they may become the
basis for a lawsuit, including potentially a restraining order to prevent
the party from holding the state convention without following its own rules.

Reminders
by Andrew G. Eggleston Sr.
Ok, so I like action movies, and every once in a while
I have to go back to the beginning, at least my action hero beginning. So
this afternoon I fire up the retro-tech and I plug in the antique
videocassette, after a couple of seconds of "zunngs" and "bleeowws" the
ever-present gray-white tracking lines scroll up the screen and I see the
warm images of "those thrilling days of yesteryear".

What Next?
Thinking Beyond Ron Paul
by Darian Worden
It looks like Ron Paul is not heading to electoral
success. If Paul will not go on the ballot in November then his libertarian
supporters ought to think about what comes next. Those with no interest
in Paul should still think of what impact his campaign has had on the
future of the libertarian movement and what to do about it.

National Security Is Government Security
by Todd Andrew Barnett
Collectivistic government busybodies, whom we call
"politicians," certainly think that, by keeping the United States mired
in the Middle East, we will maintain our "national security." They also
go on to say that the protection of "national security" is vital for
the survival of our country. But what the collectivists refuse to
acknowledgeperhaps even to themselvesis that national security
is nothing more than a government construct for the purpose of covering
up any political, militaristic, and illegal wrongdoings and defending
the modern American Empire and its nation-state-building activities from
its dissidents and critics during a time of war.

Throwing My Hat in the Ring
by Abe Clark
A great historian once said that any national leader
who controls the army, the treasury, and the enforcement of the laws is
a king, regardless of what his actual title might be. Since I fully
expect some future power-hungry American president to realize this and
declare herself king for life, I've decided that in order to preserve
any semblance of liberty in this country, a more benevolent individual
will have to take that step first. Lacking any more suitable candidate,
I humbly nominate myself.

The Revolution Has Just Begun!
The Kaptain's Log
by Kaptain Kanada, aka Manuel Miles
Now that Dr Paul has little chance of influencing the
GOP convention, many of his supporters have become discouraged. This is
natural, but it is naive, for the "Ron Paul Revolution" has been a great
victory.
