Tea—In a Whole New Bag
by L. Neil Smith
Sometimes it seems that nothing can bring America's politicians and bureaucrats back under control (to the extent they ever were) as the Founding Fathers intended. Politicians show nothing but contempt for citizens struggling to fix what's wrong with America, belittling them, ignoring them, avoiding them, insulting them in public, even attempting to have them labeled as "terrorists". So far, no matter how incensed we get, or how many of us get that way, they somehow manage to reelect themselves like clockwork—although that may be changing even as I write these words.

Sick Economy
by Jim Davidson
If you create anything of value in the United States, you'll be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The government will tax your business, and you, and the people you engage to work for you.

Sacrificing the individual to the nature of the state—sheep in wolves' clothing
by Cathy L.Z. Smith
The "neolibertarians" over at the Ludwig von Mises Institute who appear set on courting the libertarian left have taken it upon themselves, led into battle most notably by Jeffrey Tucker and Stephan Kinsella, to declare that those who are advocates of liberty may not, by definition, be in favor of what have been termed "intellectual property rights". Of course this proves, in the twisted logic of the beneficiaries of their largesse, that anyone who asserts their right to own and control their intellectual property is, by definition, "a statist asshole".

Tyrants, Mice and Men
by Susan Callaway
Hundreds, even thousands of writers, politicians, and ordinary people (through the magic of the internet) speak and write millions of words each year about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and many other classic or historical documents. Many wax poetic (or nonsensical) about the "values" and "freedoms" of America and how fortunate the people are to have a government that honors these things and cares about the people.

Tribes vs. Individuals
or, Why Democracy Doesn't Work In Most Of The World

by Russell D. Longcore
For most of recorded human history, people have organized their lives into tribes. The most recent forms of tyrannical governance around the world seek to either subjugate or destroy tribes. But those tyrannies don't seem to understand tribes fully, even though tribalism is sprinkled throughout their lives. I'm writing this to explain why you should care about tribes, and how your everyday life is affected by tribalism.

When to resist. When to submit.
by Paul Bonneau
I was having a conversation on a forum about the classic Claire Wolfe question, when is it time to shoot the bastards? Seemed like there was a lot of confusion and controversy about this, so I thought I'd take a whack at it here.

Obama bans nearly 1 million rifles
by Dudley Brown
Did you know that Barack Obama has banned nearly a million American made rifles? Nearly a million rifles. Banned by Barack Obama and his anti-gun cronies. In an executive order the Obama Administration has secretly blocked the re-importation of American made M-1 Garand and Carbine rifles being stored in South Korea. These rifles were used by the US military during the Korean War and left there after the war was over.

Sick Culture
by Jim Davidson
The other night I went to a friend's home for a few hours. She had a child who seemed to be fixated on watching television in the evening. So, despite being across the room, I got quite a bit of exposure to current programming. The number of shows about police, prosecutors, and other government agents seems to be much higher than ever before. I'm not sure why people watch this garbage. The pigs are never wrong, no suspect is ever exonerated, the prosecutors always find some "worthy" reason to ignore the protections for the accused in the bill of rights, and the villain in the show is nearly always the idea of limits to government power. Most surprising, however, were some of the commercials.

Altruists Are Selfish Before All
by Jordan Jetson
The notion that there is an ideal set of circumstances in the world at a given moment places a mystical entity called perhaps "humanity" as a global hegemon. What is best for "humanity"? There is no entity known as "humanity". There is only the totality of interacting individuals.

Vox Radio, Vox Dei
by L. Neil Smith
Most of my frequent readers are aware that I am not a religious person, and that I think, in fact, that religion has a very bad effect on civilization and the individuals who create, live in, and maintain it.
