Happy Labor Day, Bloomie!
by L. Neil Smith
It was reported Sunday afternoon that city police had discovered a
"suspicious" suitcase, seemingly abandoned, on Needham Avenue near Wilson Avenue, in the
Williamsburg area of the Bronx, after a witness called authorities about 3:30 p.m. to
report the luggage, sources said. Stuffed inside, to their horror, police found the
decomposing and putrescent remains of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun control
policy.

Pittsburgh Pigs March In
by Jim Davidson
On the original video at minute mark 8:20 the pig van with the
rectangle on top is broadcasting a noise signal that is designed to hurt. It is a
new weapon in the war on freedom, built by some of the pigs in the evil defence
contractor community. Notice how people begin t...o walk away holding their ears.
Unfortunately, the noise is broadcast at a frequency that penetrates the skull.
So you cannot simply cover your ears. You either have to get away from that van,
or shoot out its antenna, or wear a headset that plays a cancelling noise (the
inverse of the signal being broadcast by the evil fascist pigs and their pig van).

The Paradox of Government
by DataPacRat
Or, Why Can't We Seem To Get Rid Of 'Em? Just about anyone
reading this article will agree with the proposition that just about every
government that now exists has major flaws. One of the more common proposals
to deal with this problem is to simply get rid of government entirely, of
politicians and their hangers-on, so that the non-politician general public
can get on with their lives unhindered. Some variation of the above forms
the background of several of the books by our host, El Neil. [see the
main page of this journal for links to books by Our Mr. SmithEditor]
Unfortunately, this seems to be an infeasible responsebut not for the
most obvious objections, that nobody's done it yet, or has put forward
sufficient evidence to support the feasibility of a plan with that end.

Lodge Practise
by Jim Davidson
"In U.S. history, many lodges and other fraternal groups hired a
doctor for a fixed fee per month. When someone in the group became ill or was injured,
the group's doctor attended to him at no additional charge. This system was known as
"lodge practice" and was in widespread use. After the AMA was formed and became
aggressive in the early twentieth century in taking measures to raise the earnings
of doctors, the association fought tooth and nail against lodge practice and eventually
killed it."
