Letter from A.X. Perez

Sitzkreig

So, like. uh, Tricky Dick Nixon declared war on crime and we got the RICO Act which ended up being used to suppress people speaking out against abortion and efforts to get around wiretapping and eavesdropping laws.

And then, like Reagan declared war on drugs, and we got militarized cops and no knock raids and public officials going crazy trying to slap civil forfeiture on everything owned by anyone. Meanwhile the border was declared a "Constitution free zone."

Then you know we got the PATRIOT act which trashed the 4th Amendment, and now we got the current NDAA which means the military can be used to pick up anyone the bosses hate and hold him until 2040 or 2050 without charges, depending on whose prediction you believe on when the War on Terror ends. Meanwhile Homeland Security has declared anyone not a sycophant of the current administration a traitor.

As far as I can tell, and I could be wrong, the Government is at war with the american people. It's a sitzkreig, but it's still war. Don't kid yourself, but don't overreact (or underreact either.)
