"What do you suppose it would it be like, how would it feel,
to spend the rest of the time we two have left in life
without having to struggle against a rogue, feral, criminal
government hell-bent on turning us all into its property
every day, every hour, every minute?"

Special to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise

Dear Mr. Levin:

I find it ironic that while you clearly understand that the Federal government of these united States cannot afford to keep spending money that we do not have, that you refuse to acknowledge that there is one and only one candidate that if elected has any likelihood of reversing this disastrous trend. Of course I mean Ron Paul. Mitt Romney and all of the rest lack Paul's principles, his backbone, and his clear understanding of what is needed. Romney, Gingrinch, Perry, Santorum and all the rest are, in principle, no different from the Kenyan present in the White House. Romney, Gingrinch, Perry, Santorum and all the other dead elephants' utter lack of principle is the reason we are where we are.

In 2008, my wife and I decided that as much as we agreed with and wanted to support the Libertarian Party, the threat of Soetero was so great that we needed to hold our noses and vote for McCain/Palin, in the hope that we might slow or at least not speed up our rush to the edge of the abyss, (and in the hope that we'd wind up with Palin as President) and we did so. Unfortunately the stench of dead elephants was too strong, and we have had three years of unconstitutional misrule by the Kenyan.

The situation in 2008 no longer obtains. We are not approaching the edge, we are at the abyss now. If we, as a nation, do not make a choice in favor of principle, we are doomed. The tipping point to economic chaos and tyranny is very close. We cannot afford half measures, we cannot afford business as usual, and we cannot afford any more dead elephants. It doesn't matter whether it's Romney or Gingrinch or Perry or Santorum. Unless we stop spending money we do not have, which means a 50% or more haircut of the Federal budget RIGHT NOW, we are doomed.

I'm not a misty-eyed youngster. I'm over 50 years old, and I have spent most of my life working in the rough and tumble of the construction industry. I know a lot about making deals, brokering compromises, and the art of the possible. I also know people, and I am here to tell you that I am not alone in what I am about to say. If Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination, I will support him to the limit of my ability and the law, and he will beat Soetero. The Rublican establishment had better realize that there is no more politics as usual. Either they get behind Paul, or GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY.

If Paul does not win the Republican nomination, and runs as a third party candidate, I will vote for him regardless, because whether Soetero wins, or Romney/Santorum/Perry/Gingrinch/whomever wins, we are screwed. And who knows, Paul might beat the donkey and the dead elephant; people are starting to see through the false choices presented by establishment politicians whether Demopublican or Repukelocrat.

In short, voting for Ron Paul is the ONLY rational choice for anyone who values individual liberty.

Sincerely,

Larry Wright
