"Crimes against the Constitution".
Remember that phrase, and pass it around
because we're going to be using it a lot.

From Nuremberg to Alcatraz
by L. Neil Smith
Are they stupid, evil, or insane? This week, the legislature of the state of Colorado, dominated by "progressive" Democrats because, fundamentally, Colorado Republicans are too dumb to breathe in and out without somebody to remind them, saw fit to pass a number of bills that clearly infringe upon my right—indeed, the unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human right of every man, woman, and responsible child to obtain, own, and carry, openly or concealed, any weapon, rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything, any time, any place, without asking anyone's permission.

A Little Tobacco with Your Tea?
by Jeff Fullerton
Heard the latest conspiratorial rant about the Tea Party? Apparently we've been around for quite a while with ties to the evil tobacco industry going back to the 1980s. Sounds like a tinfoil hat with a built in Cuckoo Clock! In an ironic way the Progs are right, though way off the mark in estimating the depth of the roots. There has long been a Tea Party brewing under the surface of American life ever since the slow, piecemeal betrayal of the Revolution began; before the ink dried on the Declaration of Independence.

Be Unafraid
by A.X. Perez
They are trying to make us afraid. There is something disturbing about our friends in the gun rights movement. They talk about how dangerous the modern world is and why we need to arm ourselves in self defense. Of course, arming oneself in depth, tear gas/pepper spray, knives, guns, shillelaghs, and training, is prudent and you should get as much as your pocketbook can handle. This is the only way to deal with an increasingly dangerous world. That said, they appeal not to our prudence but our fears.

The unabridged audio version of my 1983 novel The Nagasaki Vector, brilliantly read by the great libertarian radio host Brian Wilson, is finally available for purchase.

Many feel that this is the funniest book I've written so far—at least intentionally—and features our old friend Win Bear, G. Howell Nahuatl, a sapient coyote, time traveler Bernie Gruenblum, and Georgie, the time machine who loves him.

EDITORIAL MATTERS:

A Note from the Publisher
Down With Power Wins Book Award!

Award!

I am extremely pleased to inform you that my book Down With Power: Libertarian Policy In A Time Of Crisis has won the Freedom Book of the Year Award from the FreedomBookClub.com in what free people are affectionately calling "New Hamster". Details are a bit sparse as yet, but a $250 scolarship has been donated in my name, and I learned it all from my friend and colleague Pasha Roberts, the creative genius behind the various Silver Circle enterprises. His graphic novel of the movie was in competition against me, and I believe everybody shopuld get themselves a copy as soon as they can. [Amazon.com] and [Barnes & Noble.com]

I got Psha's text, and some photos he took, on my new phone while I was in the middle of a "Neanderthal Workshop" at Colorado State with my lovely bride Cathy, who is the real anthropologist in the family. It was a lot of fun, and very informative.

Turns out I'd heard from Comrade Furb Furbish, too, but had somehow missed the significance of his message. Very sorry, Furb. But thank you and everyone else connected with this jollity. I believe the country needs this book (or else I wouldn't have written it) and now it'll have a little longer reach.

Thank you, too, Ernie Hancock, and thank you, You-Know-Who.

Down With Power!
HOW TO FIX AMERICA
NOT IN SIX CENTURIES

NOT IN SIX DECADES

NOT IN SIX YEARS

BUT IN JUST SIX MONTHS!

Yes, the principles enumerated in L. Neil Smith's Down With Power, properly applied, will make a visible difference in America's condition in just 180 days!

While we wait months and years for the swift recovery that's in America's power, the con-game—played against us by government, corporations, and unions—goes on.

Stop the con-game. Read L. Neil Smith's Down With Power, available from Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and other sources, in trade paperback and e-book editions.
