What's It Got In Its Pocketses, My Precious?
by L. Neil Smith
It says here the government will soon have drones—meaning that
they already have them—that can see whether you are carrying a weapon. We are already
better acquainted than we should be with various scanning contraptions at airports and
elsewhere that look inside your briefcase, inside your purse, inside your suitcase, and
inside you to determine whether you have had the temerity, despite the vicious
and illegal police state practices that have sprung up around us like malignant
toadstools—to exercise your rights under the Second Amendment. The term "wand-rape"
has found its way into the general vocabulary.

The Forces Array'd
by Terence James Mason
Stimulated by L. Neil Smith's essay of two weeks ago, "Things I Know
But Can't Prove," and responses in last week's e-mail comments, I have been giving some
thought to the issue of, "Who are the players on the world stage?" Informed by L. Neil's
essay and those letters, I have identified five distinct groups—one of which has two
ideologically dissimilar relevant subgroups—which dominate the world stage. Although
the groups wield more or less significant political power, they are distinguished more by
ideology and worldview than by their political capability. Four of these are working unabashedly
against individual liberty, the unifying philosophy of the fifth group, in all of its manifestations.

Why Barry and Michelle Lost Their Law Licenses
by Dr.Duck
I knew they had both lost their law license, but I didn't know why
until I read this. This is 100% legit. I check it out at https://www.iardc.org/ Stands
for Illinois Attorney Registration And Disciplinary Committee. It's the official arm of
lawyer discipline in Illinois ; and they are very strict. (Talk about irony.) Even I, at
the advanced age of almost 65, maintain (at the cost of approximately $600/year) my law
license that I worked so hard and long to earn.

"Give It A Name!"
by John Taylor
I never though I'd be doing this! I am about to hand the GOP the
keys to the kingdom—I wonder if they'll use them. Whether or not the Republicans
believe they're in deep dark serious WTF-level trouble or not, one things for certain:
the "Progressives" are poised to run rampant, confident in their superior position.
This position is strengthened—nay, aided and abetted—by Republican unwillingness
to listen to voices of reason on their side of the aisle.

Atlas Shrugged Part II: A Movie Review
by Sean Gangol
Not too long ago the second installment of the adaptation of Ayn
Rand's Atlas Shrugged was released into theaters. This time it had a new cast and a
slightly bigger budget. When the first installment came out it gathered little attention
at the box office, due to the limited screenings around the country and advertisement
that was almost nonexistent.

The Rulers Don't Want Universal Background Checks
by Paul Bonneau
Sometimes we still get carried away, listening to and believing what
the ruling class says. I don't know why. Lately they've been saying they want universal
background checks, and advancing various half-assed justifications to promote that. We
tend not to believe the justifications (if we have half a brain); but for some reason,
accept the premise.

Identity Politics Über Alles
by Wendy McElroy
Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) is backing a bill to reinstate the draft,
but he wants to include women this time. Gender and liberal feminists are responding in
various ways, but they seem to have arrived at the same conclusion: an endorsement of
drafting women.
