The River of No Return
by L. Neil Smith
The Age of Authority, now drawing to a close after ten thousand
blood-stained years, has also largely been an age of witlessness and fraud. Stripping
history of all of its excuses and rationalizations, it is surpassingly difficult to
find a single ruler or leader who was capable of finding his own fundament with both
hands and a six-cell Maglite.

The Root of All Power
Capitol Tea Party Speech—October 12, 2013
by Brad Harrington
Now, "power" is a multi-faceted word which can mean a lot of
different things, and Merriam-Webster defines power in the following fashion: As
a noun, "(1) A position of ascendancy over others; (2) the ability to act or produce
an effect; (3) one that has control or authority; (4) physical might—also, mental
or moral vigor; (5) the number of times as indicated by an exponent a number is to be
multiplied by itself; (6) force of energy used to do work; (7) the amount by which an
optical lens magnifies." Also, "power," as a verb, means: "To supply with power and
especially with motive power."

The Liberal Fault
by Peter Cyprian
I check "MSNBC's NewsVine" daily after perusing the news and I am
often amazed at the absolute idiocy I see being spouted from the rather large number of
liberals on MSNBC's NewsVine. Some of the positions I see being taken are just mystifying!
How could one group be so misguided? I seriously had to ask myself this question—how
could these people be so cross-wired? I was posting on a seed about Evolution being taught
in the schools and had a rather heated debate with one of these people and then, it hit me!
How could people that are self-proclaimed "educated" people be so screwed in the head? They
REFUSE to ever admit when they are wrong! It is that simple. When a liberal is confronted
with undeniable facts, they lack the moral character, the intestinal fortitude, to admit
they were wrong. Since this is the case, they will continue to spout their nonsense,
regardless of the facts. As a professional trainer, I can tell you that the worst situation
you can find yourself in a training environment would be when your students believe themselves
to be "experts" on the subject material. I have had this happen several times and each time it
ended the same way—I taught the class to the best of my ability and they learned nothing.
Later, when they failed to perform as expected (sometimes on the battlefield), they had
nothing but a litany of excuses, which my company had to debunk each and every one of them.
Liberals- it is simple....here's a lesson for free....read this and say it out loud: "gee,
thank you for showing me the facts that prove my position is invalid, I WAS WRONG TO BELIEVE
OTHERWISE." If that is too long winded for you, try this: "I was wrong".

California: Living Proof of the Slippery Slope of Rational Apathy
by C.D. Michel
"It started with a coffee date. Now I'm married with kids. How the
heck did that happen?" How indeed? Life sneaks up on us. Change occurs in tiny increments.
Before you know it, the order of life has been inverted. It's the same with the law.
Aristotle knew what he was talking about when he wrote "Jealously maintain ... the spirit
of obedience to law, more especially in small matters; for transgression creeps in
unperceived and at last ruins the state, just as the constant recurrence of small
expenses in time eats up a fortune." The California slippery slope of anti-freedom
legislation—whatever the political agenda—has been a model for the rest of the
nation. This is the ceaseless, incremental strategy of the California gun control
movement that continues to this day.

The Return Of The Two Party System—It's Way Past Time
by Neale Osborn
It's time... to return to the two party system. And I know JUST how
to do it. Many of my friends refer to the Democrats and the Republicans as the two factions
of the "Boot on your neck" party. And it's true. They just trade who gets to fuck us over
back and forth between them. Lately, the Democrats have been giving the Republicans sage
advice—"Just give us what we want, and you might get the White House back." Now, ANYBODY
who actually believes that Harry Reid and Barack Obama have the best interests of the Republican
party in mind is a complete idiot, but the Republican party apparently believes they do. And
today, they showed that they want to be Democrats. They gave Obama everything he wanted, and
got... wait for it... income verification prior to receiving Obamacare subsidies. Now,
there seems to be no doubt that this is going to pass the House (where this is supposed to have
originated, Constitutionally speaking) and it apparently has already passed the Senate (because
Democrats vote as Reid tells them, rather than as their constituents want). If it does, it
announces the time for the creation of a true two-party system. The parties are The Democratic
Republicans, and the TEA Party.

For the Want of a Free Lunch: A Republic Was Lost
by Jeff Fullerton
Government shutdown going on week 3. It came to an end finally with the
usual suspects caving as expected. And why not? Hijacked by tyranny—the tyranny of that
malignant mutation of the American body politic called Progressivism; the nation has become
everything it's founders fought against in the American Revolution. If there is one clear
lesson to be learned from this latest government shutdown : social entitlement programs are
a Clear and Present Danger to human freedom. We are all hostages. Hostages of a Police State
that grows ever more powerful and intrusive by the day. And the Senate republicans may have
signed the death warrant of their party.

Neale's Weekly Gun Rant Volume 30
by Neale Osborn
Fired?!?! REALLY? Shannon "Bear" Cothran pulled out his
concealed Pistol and caused a knife-wielding thief to flee the gas station he was
attempting to rob. Police confirmed the attempted theft, and the fleeing thief. When
Cothran notified the parent company, he was promptly fired for violating company
policies on firearms and thefts. No guns, and reward thieves by giving up the cash.
Despite support from the store manager AND the district manager, they fired him for
his efforts. Wanna bet he gets offered a job within a week?
