The Cure For Medical Socialism
(The Feature Article)

Don't turn your back on a moderate!
And don't forget that they consider
their primary responsibility in life to
be preventing their own side from winning!

The Cure For Medical Socialism
by L. Neil Smith
Over the years that I’ve involved myself in
politics, there has been one idiotic thing that people say—if
you count liberal “progressive” Democrats as
people—that fills me with a special amazement and contempt at
just how stupid they have let themselves become.

Letter from England 2: Europe and the Culture War
by Sean Gabb
If I were to draw up a list of the problems
facing my country, and then to discuss their nature and possible
solutions, I might be starting work on rather a long book. Instead, I
will confine myself to what I think are the two most immediately
pressing, and that are within the direct control of the British
Government. These are our withdrawal from the European Union and the
state of our so far uncontested culture war.

Nasty, Brutish and Short Stories, by J. Neil Schulman - A Review
by Sean Gangol
It’s interesting how J. Neil Schulman in
the intro to his book Nasty, Brutish and Short Stories, said
that he wasn’t really all that into writing short stories,
since I thought many of the stories in this book were up there with
the works of Rod Serling. That is why it shouldn’t come as any
surprise that Schulman’s short story,
“Repossessed”, which also appears in this book,
originally found its way into Adventures in the Twilight Zone,
a book that was edited by Carol Serling. Then of course there was the
episode he wrote for the eighties revival of The Twilight
Zone, titled “Profiles in Silver.”
