My Stream of Consciousness Overfloweth
by L. Neil Smith
Why is it that, every time the wannabe commies in
Congress feel stymied in their never-ending attempts to obliterate
the Second Amendment, some “random” lunatic or religious
fanatic obligingly goes out and murders a bunch of innocent human
beings, often with the very weapon they’re currently trying to outlaw?

Open Letter to Congress
by Jim Carter
Dear Senator, It is believed Congress has the authority to
order an examination of any entity that handles government funds to
verify their accuracy and for them to be free of malfeasance. It is
assumed that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY), as held by
two federal appellate courts to be privately owned corporations (but
under the administrative and regulatory control of the BOG), falls
under this legal manta.

Childish Things
by J. Neil Schulman and Brad Linaweaver
Words matter. Without clear definition there is
no communication, only blather. Even blather has a definition.
As authors who respect language we have always
resisted the idea that a word can mean anything the speaker or writer
wants it to mean, as Humpty Dumpty does in Through the Looking
Glass and what Alice found there. The most misused word today is
pedophilia.

Dancing in the Blood of Innocents
by Sean Gangol
When I wrote the first draft of this article by hand as I usually
do with most of my articles, the subject was mainly going to center
on how the left was trying to use the death of a young protestor in
Charlottesville, to booster support for restricting so-called “
Hate Speech.” I was going to make some mention of the
anti-gun side since they never seem to hesitate for a second to take
advantage of a tragedy. At that point there hadn’t been any
major mass shootings (unless you count the death toll in Chicago).
Not too long after I completed this article’s rough draft, a
psychotic gunman in Las Vegas took it upon himself to fire into a
country music concert from his hotel room, killing fifty-nine people
and injuring hundreds of others. This particular shooting has been
called the worst shooting in this nation’s history.

A Brief History of Syphilis
by Richard Blake
When I was twelve, I decided that I was suffering
from congenital syphilis. My mother had always encouraged me to read
her medical textbooks in the hope that I might become a doctor. With
the approach of puberty, I tired of memorising the names of bones and
turned my attention to the horrible things that might go wrong with
my own internal organs. I got the idea of syphilis by looking at
photographs of teeth. They looked rather like mine. Nearly half a
century later, I am willing to allow that my diagnosis may have been
made without full consideration. I can also rejoice that an already
suffering world has not been made still worse by my entry into the
medical profession. I remain, even so, interested in syphilis—though
almost certainly in my case from a distance.
