Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

I’ve mentioned Travis J. I. Corcoran’s The Aristillus Series, consisting (so far) of 1) Powers of the Earth, published 2917, and 2) Causes of Separation, published 2018. These two books both won the Prometheus Award, the first self-published books to do so, and the first "part-2" book to do so, also. So so! I’ll mention them again because the 3rd book is still not out yet and I WANNA READ IT but can’t because it is not out yet. Like I just said. Twice.

Anyway, the story is original, imaginative, plausible, optimistic, and just as entertaining as can be. Go get ’em, nnnnkay?:

David Codrea has a most interesting article, “BIDS Can Prove ‘Universal Background Checks’ are Really about Registration”, at the Ammoland Shooting Sports News page. “BIDS” means “Blind Indentification Database Systems”, which is a way to “check” for undesirable/deplorable people trying to buy guns without indentifying them directly. What is all this obsession with knowing who owns guns, anyway? You’d think somebody was making a list to drop by and steal them later or something. [sarcasm off]. Those people who think they are/should-be our masters really are getting excessive in the shit-for-brains department. Is that a curable mental/moral defect?

You know, I think it is time to change the Federalist’s damned Constitution to have the House of Representatives made up of one person from each county in the country. And maybe the Senate made up of people randomly chosen from the population of their state, and limited to one term. And introducing, voting for, or enforcing any law that violates the Constitution to have the death penalty attached. Especially retroactively. That would clean up the Federalist’s swamp a bit. Of course, people who benefit from the swamp would oppose such a reform. [sarcasm off again] They obviously do not have the best interests of normal people in mind.

One of the most glaring indications that the “Globular Warming Is Caused By Humans” religious movement is the infamous “hockey stick” graph, the creator of which refuses to reveal the data that produces it. Now, if other scientists are not allowed to examine the data and try to duplicate it, it IS NOT SCIENCE, it is flim-flammery. The perpetrator of this, Dr. Michael Mann of the Penn State University, claims the “data” is “his property”, even though public tax money paid for it. Now he gets to go to jail!:

Well golly! Justice may be done after all. It is not just that Mann is a liar, but that he is now a criminal. And people thought he was a scientist. Now he is just a con-man.
