A Light in the Darkness
by L. Neil Smith
My supper last night consisted of a tall Margarita
in a Bud Light glass, and a packet of Cheetos. For the first time in
uncounted months, I was back at karaoke, among my long-lost friends,
and rediscovering joy. For the first time in uncounted months, I actually
shook hands with my friends and could actually see their actual faces
as they talked to me. The only individual wearing a mask (and
crime-scene gloves) was the KJ (karaoke jockey), probably because it
was imposed on him by the communist dictator of Colorado. Otherwise,
everybody was happy to see everybody else. We had all finally broken
out of prison and were having an unabashedly good time.

The Coronavirus:
“Plandemic” or The Hand of God?
by Sean Gabb
Piers Corbyn, I will explain for my overseas
readers, is the elder brother of Jeremy Corbyn. He has so far been
most notable for his disbelief in the “climate change” propaganda and
for his desire to leave the European Union. As might be expected, he
is also a firm civil libertarian. On Saturday the 29th August 2020, he
presided over a demonstration in Trafalgar Square against the laws
brought in to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. This demonstration
was attended by thousands of people, and one of the speakers was David
Icke, once a football player, then a sports presenter on
television—nowadays the most resolute and entertaining advocate of the
shape-shifting lizard theory of ruling class misbehaviour. According
to The Health Protection Regulations 2020, it is, or may be, a
criminal offence to organise a gathering of more than thirty people.
Mr Corbyn was arrested at the end of his demonstration. The following
day, without any pretence of due process, he was fined £10,000.

Superheroes? PHOOEY!
a look at Adam Warren’s Empowered
by Eric Oppen
Like most people (male people in particular) I went
through a stage in childhood of loving superhero comics. I liked
Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and all the rest, and would have
bought them all every month if I’d only had the pocket money to do so.
I often thought that life would be better, or at least more
interesting, if superheroes really existed.

Missing the Bigger Picture
by Sean Gangol
Once again, we have woke leftists tearing down
statues and any monument to the long dead Confederacy. Of course, this
isn’t a new thing, it’s actually been going on for decades, though it
actually intensified after the church shooting in South Carolina in
2015. Left-wing activists somehow thought that tearing down historical
monuments was going to prevent mass shootings by bigoted gunmen. Then
there was the fiasco in Charlottesville three years ago, which
happened over the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue. These efforts
were once again intensified after the wrongful death of George Floyd.
What do the statues of dead Confederates have to with police
brutality? Your guess is good as mine.

Oh No! Not Novichok!
by L. Reichard White
It's not often I hear from the Russians anymore, not
since the "ROOF" ran us out of the country during the so-called
Asian Contagon." So you can imagine my surprise when I answered the
phone this morning and Vladimir Putin was on the other end. He was livid.
