Us old people will find this following news report really, really exciting:
Human ageing reversed in ‘Holy Grail’ study, scientists say
by Anthony Cuthbertson
Scientists claim to have successfully reversed the biological aging
process in a group of elderly adults.
In a first of a kind study, researchers from Tel Aviv University and
the Shamir Medical Center used a form of oxygen therapy to reverse
two key indicators of biological aging: Telomere length and senescent
cells accumulation.
As the human body gets older, it experiences the shortening of
telomeres – the protective caps found at the end of chromosomes – and
an increase in old, malfunctioning senescent cells.

Study finds hyperbaric oxygen treatments reverse aging process
by Tel Aviv University
A new study from Tel Aviv University (TAU) and the Shamir Medical
Center in Israel indicates that hyperbaric oxygen treatments (HBOT)
in healthy aging adults can stop the aging of blood cells and reverse
the aging process. In the biological sense, the adults' blood cells
actually grow younger as the treatments progress.
The researchers found that a unique protocol of treatments with
high-pressure oxygen in a pressure chamber can reverse two major
processes associated with aging and its illnesses: the shortening of
telomeres (protective regions located at both ends of every
chromosome) and the accumulation of old and malfunctioning cells in
the body. Focusing on immune cells containing DNA obtained from the
participants' blood, the study discovered a lengthening of up to 38%
of the telomeres, as well as a decrease of up to 37% in the presence
of senescent cells.

Human Ageing Process Biologically Reversed For First Time Ever
by Hannah Smith
A team of Israeli scientists have successfully managed to
biologically reverse the ageing process in humans for the first time
ever, using hyperbaric oxygen chambers to stop changes to DNA
associated with ageing.
The oxygen-based therapy is believed to affect two key areas that are
responsible for us becoming more frail as we grow older: telomeres –
protective caps at the ends of chromosomes which shorten over time
causing DNA to become damaged – and ‘senescent’ cells, which build up
in the body and prevent regeneration.

Well, sir, I'm pretty sure that is some kinda good news. Yep, I surely do.
Stay deplorable, my friends!
