His Goal Is Gaol
by L. Neil Smith
I have before me on my poor, long-suffering desktop an article by some bottom-feeder calling himself "Adam Weinstein" in some cyber-publication calling itself Gawker, that is remarkable for number of reasons. For example, in not quite four lines of his first paragraph, he manages to tell three outright lies, make a questionable assertion, and deliver a mortal threat to everything that ever made America a decent country to live in. Basically, having lost the global warming argument—thanks mostly to another pack of liars and connivers at the University of East Anglia—he now proposes that we who disagree with him must be jailed, which is the last refuge of something that you're mostly likely to find yourself scraping off the bottom of your shoe.

Sorry, Sports Radio: Babies Are More Important Than Baseball
by Jonathan David Morris
I am not a Mets fan. As a person who does not follow the Mets, or like the Mets, or even particularly care about the Mets, it doesn't make a difference to me whether one or all of their players show up for any given game.

When Hell Freezes Over: Winter's Grip Is Broken!
by Jeff Fullerton
The original title of this article was going to be Winter's Grip Loosens; but things were so up in the air for the last two months with warm spells followed by major snow events that kept throwing monkey wrenches into my plans on top of making me hesitant to comment on the weather situation that was in a continual state of flux. Bringing to mind that quote of opera house fame: it ain't over till the buxom blonde in the Viking helmet sings!

Old News Interpreted
by A.X. Perez
Recently I ran into two articles dealing with autism. One reports that autism is a congenital disorder, that is you are born that way. It is not caused by the sufferer being vaccinated. At this time I do not want to get into the comparative risks and benefits of getting vaccinations or having your kids vaccinated. I do want to point out that making your kids autistic is not one of them. that said, research a variety of sites consult medical practitioners that you trust, and definitely get tested to make sure you are not allergic to a vaccine or its ingredients.

Neale's Weekly Gun Rant Volume 4-6-2014
by Neale Osborn

Some are going to ask me my take on Ft Hood. It was an entirely preventable tragedy. We had 45,000 trained people who know full well how to use arms. They carry them all day, every day, when stationed overseas. We put them in a huge fort, deny them the weapons we provided them to begin with, and let a psycho shoot them up. It was easily preventable by simply NOT disarming the soldiers on base. And we can fully expect various and sundry bottom feeders, er, politicians to try to cash in on this tragedy like they always do, and use it to advance their agenda.

Highly recommended.

We all know the answer to this one:

In the wake of the second shooting at Ft Hood in five years, I wonder if Lt Col Robert Bateman still thinks that only military or police are capable of having or using guns?
