Attribute to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise
Since she has the nerve to keep working on a novel, Mama Liberty
passes along another excellent post from Bradley Harrington.

For those who believe that
principles play no role in politics or human affairs—for the
"pragmatists" who see no consequences to ignoring ideas and who
believe that the way to challenge the tyrannical argumentsof the
collectivists is to merely prove their schemes of enslavement to be
economically invalid and unworkable—reality has, like a
well-scripted morality play, once again given such "defenders" of
free enterprise the slap in the face they so righteously
deserve.
The TSA (Terroristic Sexual Assaults) strikes again with their
incredibly stupid people abusing travelers. This time, they insist a
mute woman with brain damage that also prevents her from writing must
speak prior to boarding a plane.
[Link]
The Transportation Security
Administration should really go into faith healing. Last year
the
agency ordered a Marine who had lost both legs in combat to stand up
and walk. This week, they were at it again. Agents at a security
checkpoint refused to greenlight a woman who has been unable to speak
or write since she suffered a stroke a decade ago.
According to the
New
York Post, Heidi Wright, who is also
wheelchair-bound, was stopped by a TSA agent Los Angeles
International Airport because of an expired driver's license she was
using as identification. That's reasonable.
What came next is not. When Sherry Wright attempted to explain her
sister's unique situation, the TSO said he wanted the explanation to
come from the holder of the lapsed ID. Wright tried to reason with
the man, emphasizing that her sister was mute, but to no avail.
TSA Agent Jesus of Nazareth orders the lame to walk and the mute
to speak. And if it doesn't work, boot her from the flight.
Nico Melendez, a spokesperson for the TSA, told ABC7 that it
regrets the incident:
I think it could have been
handled differently by the TSA and it probably could have been
handled differently by the family, and hopefully moving forward the
family won't have this problem again, because they know about the
programs that we have in place.
Really, Melendez? If you had a brain-function requirement for
employment (including for spokesperson), your gare agent might have
been able to help the handicapped instead of humiliate her. But then
your people have ALSO;

announces that cancer victim is 'wearing a diaper'

The Tennessee Senate voted by a
wide margin on Tuesday to permit any gun owner to openly carry a
firearm, provided that they are
not
legally barred from owning a gun.
One consequence of this bill, should it become law, is that it would
eliminate
the requirement that gun owners complete a training course
on firearm safety before they are allowed to wander the streets of
Tennessee while armed.
The bill appears to be part of a trend of pro-gun lawmakers trying
to remove checks on who may have a firearm in public spaces. Until
2007, Vermont was the only
state in the country that did not require
gun permits to carry a gun in public. In recent years, however,
legislation eliminating the permit requirement became law in
Wyoming,
Arizona, Alaska, Arkansas and
Oklahoma.
They then go on to attack the right to keep and bear arms-
Although the most common
justification for more permissive gun laws is that they are needed
for self-defense — "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun
is a good guy with a gun," in NRA Executive Vice President Wayne
LaPierre's words—data on gun violence does not support this
justification. The presence of guns is far more likely to lead to a
criminal homicide than an act of self defense. In 2010, for example,
there were 8,275 illegal homicides and only 230 justifiable killings.
A likely explanation for why the NRA's narrative does not actually
resemble reality is that mass shootings—the kind of gun murders
where an armed vigilante would be most useful—are actually quite
rare. According to a paper by Josh Blackman, a libertarian law
professor at South Texas College of Law, "[r]oughly .1% of deaths
from gunfire take place during a mass shooting (defined as 4 or more
deaths in a single event). The overwhelming majority, 99.9% are not
during a mass shooting."
Note how they never ever mention the 195,000 to 2.000.000 times an
American citizens uses a gun to thwart a crime, usually without ever
being forced to fire the weapon. Because that doesn't fit the
narrative of "Icky Guns Cause Crime."
The Armed American. A new section of the rant. Please feel free to
send me links to stories of Americans defending themselves with guns,
or where having a gun might have made the defense easier.

The Penas are a family of gun
owners who live in Florida. Luis Pena, the dad, awoke one morning to
investigate noises he heard. He saw a man trying to break in through
the french doors that led do his back deck. Luis fired a warning shot
to get the guy to leave, but the intruder was determined to break in.
By the time he made his way in through the doors and into their
kitchen around 7 a.m., Luis's wife and son had armed themselves, and
all three of them were standing there, waiting to greet him.
The intruder, an apparently unarmed man, decided that it would be
a good idea to charge at Luis, and when he did, Luis shot him in the
torso and killed him.

She could have used a gun.... And how'd that "You don't need a gun,
just call 911!"
I'm not sure about this theory, but there's a LOT of information
from some credible sources that Sandy Hook shooting, (the elementary
school where the mass shooting took place) was fiction. That the
shooting never happened.
[Link]
Some stories say the school was abandoned. One Forensic Pathologist stated
that the x-rays of Lanza's head (where he supposedly shot himself)
show that he would have had to practically dislocate his shoulder to
put the bullet where it landed- in the back if his head. Another
documents how, according to the SSI's records, several victims died
days before the shooting took place. And this article, which claims
the school was condemned and vacant at the time of the "staged"
shooting.
Wolfgang Halbig, the school
safety consultant and former state trooper who calls the Dec. 14,
2012 Sandy Hook
school shooting "a contrived scripted event" in the planning for 2-2½ years,
------------------------------------------------------------------
And then there's this curious Newtown Bee article of
November 7,
2008, 4 years before the alleged shooting massacre: "The asbestos
levels in Newtown schools pose no threat to the health or safety of
those using the schools, according to Superintendent John Reed. The
areas in the schools where there is evidence of asbestos ... are also
considered acceptable and safe."
------------------------------------------------------------------
But then a year after the alleged massacre and after the school
had been completely torn down with the
demolition workers sworn to
confidentiality, The Bee reported on Dec. 2, 2013 that Public
Building & Site Commission Chairman Robert Mitchell issued a report
that directly contradicts the earlier 2008 assessment that asbestos
levels in Newtown's schools posed no threat to health. Mitchell's
report said "had the town decided to reoccupy the [Sandy Hook
Elementary] school on Dickinson Drive, it would have faced a daunting
and possibly insurmountable challenge
regarding the presence of hazardous
materials" because "PCBs were not only discovered in concrete block,
but under terrazzo flooring and in sulfur block used in the
foundations and footings. In addition, vinyl asbestos tile was
discovered under carpeted areas, along with asbestos in the mastic
holding insulation to the subfloor tunnel ductwork."
I can't attest to the veracity of any of this, but it sure is
strange to contemplate, isn't it? It would certainly tie in with a
theory I once expressed about a mass shooting a few years back—that
it certainly is convenient that every time the national
anti-Constitutional Victim Disarmament debate cools down, another
mass shooting occurs to re-kindle the fires.
The American people throw the Federales from the BLM off the
street. [Link] Watch the whole video.
These people drive the scumbags away. There is SOOO much on this
story, I really don't know where to start. We have BLM cops blocking
public access to state roads. We have Oath Keepers sending armed
members to help oppose the BLM cops. We have tales of this being
Harry Reid's fault. It's about savng tortoises. No, wait, it's about
fracking. But here's the basics. Since the 1880s, Clive Bundy's
family has grazed cattle on public land, in accordance with state
laws. The federal government has effectively stolen this state public
land in the name of a tortoise the federal gov't itself has been
killing off. Now, the federales want to intimidate an American
citizen into compliance, via physical threats, stealing his cows,
killing his cows, and generally shredding the Constitution AND the
state rights of Nevada, all in the name of a fucking turtle (who
isn't fucking enough to replace itself). And a LOR of Americans just
aren't taking it. Follow this bunch of links, and judge for yourself.

WTF is this idiot talking about.
[Link]
Eric Holder, the highest law enforcement
official in the country, certified lawbreaker, gunrunner, and general
piece of government trash, strikes again. He wants $382.1 million
ADDITIONAL in his budget next year to explore new gun control
methods. Let's read the thief's own words. Note his cohort in crime.
I think that one of the things
that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense
reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a
group of technology people and talked about how guns can be made more
safe by making them either through finger print identification, the
gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns
can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the
weapon.
It's those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore
so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their
Second Amendment rights, but at the same time decreasing the misuse
of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily
basis.
Your tax dollars at work.
Again, I have to wonder where the parents' heads are located.
[Link]
It's bad enough a child is suspended
for twirling a pencil (especially on the word of a bully). It's
reprehensible that he was ordered to undergo a humiliating
psychological and physical examination in order to be "allowed" to
return to school. What is obscene is that his parents complied with
these orders. read the father's description of the exam-
"The child was stripped, had to
give blood samples (which caused him to pass out) and urine samples
for of all things drug testing. Then four hours later a social worker
spoke to him for five minutes and cleared him. Then an actual doctor
came in and said the state was 100 percent incorrect in their
procedure and this would not get him back in school."
Sorry, Dad, but the school system should have been told to fuck
off, and the boy either home-schooled or private schooled from that
point on. This is part of an ongoing, and indeed, ever-growing, trend
of a total lack of intelligence in the school system combined with an
absolutely overbearing attitude of dictatorial powers assumed by the
public school systems in this country.
Ethan joins the ranks of other
school-aged children who have been suspended over what most with
common sense would deem "normal" childhood behavior. Last year, a
second grader
in Virginia was suspended for holding a pencil like a
gun. Two elementary school students, ages
five and
ten (in different
states) were recently suspended over "finger guns". And, last year a
five-year-old in Massachusetts was suspended for making an
oh-so-scary gun out of
LEGOS at school.
One would have hoped the parents would have taught their son, by
example, not to kowtow to petty dictators and tyrants. Instead, they
meekly complied, then whined about the poor lad's treatment after the
fact. Pathetic.
It's Saturday night, and I need to get this to the editor. So I'm
going to call this one wrapped up.
