Coal is a useful power source, and can be made better with enforcement of liability for emissions, but ...

Coals has caused thousands of deaths ( mining is dangerous ), and naturally occurring radiation in coal has released far more radioactive material in the environment than Fukishima and Chernobyl combined.

There is a better source available: Nuclear.

And not incredibly dangerous fast water reactors ( bad copies of Submarine reactors, and their fuel cycle is optimized for nuclear weapon production ).

Weinberg was working on liquid salt reactors, which offer a far better solution. If you cut power to one, it simply shuts itself down, and it is not pressurized, so a breach simply drains into a holding tank. Get the NRC out of the nuclear power prevention business.

Cities need to get guns out of the hands of minority males up to the age of 25, Everytown boss Michael Bloomberg told a "sold out" audience at the Aspen Institute Friday. In other words, based on race, the monopoly of violence cultist would deny civil rights to blacks. And while overall statistics point to some troubling generalized trends, to hold an individual accountable for actions of other individuals because they share a racial identity is as evil as any other kind of stereotyping used to deny rights.

For all my assimilation into American society I still consider my self a member of a minority, left handed science fiction fans. If Mr. Bloomberg won't trust minority members with guns I refuse to trust the man who would restore the Lex Jacobus Corvus with political power. Nor anyone who accepts his money after this date.

While he's not related, I remember a man Named Leander Perez. He was excommunicated from the Catholic Church for supporting the Ku Klux Klan. Mr. Flowermountain just adopted part of their agenda. What Church can disown him?

PS: It hit me: if Bloomie is contributing money to them to forward his racist support of gun control, aren't Groups like Everytown USA and Moms Whatever hate groups?

As hate groups doesn't that make them potential terrorists?
Doesn't that make every antigun group potential terrorists?

Cowyboy Bob

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in Montana when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.

The driver, a young man in a Brioni® suit, Gucci® shoes, RayBan® sunglasses and YSL® tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"

Bud looks at the man, who obviously is a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, why not?"

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell® notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3® cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop® and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany ...

Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot® that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL® database through an ODBC connected Excel® spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry® and, after a few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet® printer, turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then Bud says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

"You work for the US government", says Bud.

"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars' worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living—or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep.

"Now give me back my dog." ​

And that folks,​ in a nutshell, is a huge part of what the problem is today!

Another Letter from A.X. Perez

Texas Progress

Senate Bill 342 (Constitutional Carry of handguns) and Senate Bill 346 (licensed Open Carry) are progressing nicely. The one trap I see is that similar House Bills are being pushed with just enough differences to lead to a hang up in reconciling the bills proposed by each house.

Meanwhile the Senate has legislation before it providing for licensed carry of hand guns on college campuses. Generally this is a good idea, but I am afraid it will waken a sleeping dwarf (Texas's academic liberal community) that likae to take cheap shot low blows that will slow down passage of Constitutional or Open carry for this session to the point of death by stagnation (all bills must pass by May 31st).

Texans, keep after your State Representatives and Senators (unless they are hopelessly liberal, then do not disturb their sleep) to push these Bills through committee and the floors of their respective houses and get them passed expeditiously.
